Starting work on THE MAGPIE'S LAMENT

While I will be re-releasing the first three Louise Miller crime novels later this year (first as an omnibus collection and then individually), I have started work on a new literary novel, one that has been sat in the dusty cellar of my mind, fermenting and growing its ideas in strength over the last 24 years until the time was right when I felt I could actually write the novel.

THE MAGPIE'S LAMENT is a story about love, loss and the redemptive power of writing.

I have no set deadline for writing this, no "6 pages a day" mantra. Nothing restrictive. If it takes several months; it takes several months. If it takes 3 years to write, so be it.
